IKEA: What i hate about it....

Ok, the truth is that i love IKEA BUT i don't love everything... One of the things that i love about IKEA is that you can change products the way you want, or you can use them in different ways.
I can understand that it's a big international corporation and they care only about money and not about your wallet....But that doesn't excuse their strategy...
What i mean....
Every year around August they release their new catalogue, with many new products, new prices and also sometimes they remove some of the old products...
Like for example the Benjamin stool, which was a perfect DIY product.
But NO, they had to remove it...

But still i can understand that, they have to change their catalogue...
Fashion is changing so they have to change too, and add more modern and contemporary products...
But i got really angry when i saw what they did  and i'll explain...

I wanted to buy a carpet-rug for the new house and of course my first choice was IKEA.
I looked the site and then i decided to look for DIY rug projects and then i found IT a wonderful DIY rug!
I was so excited, and in love with the project.
BUT after i tried to find the product with no luck i was angry and disappointed.... They had remove the rug BUT they add a new rug exactly the same with the DIY rug!
And then i got furious about the price....

The DIY rug was the Ikea Erslev rug 20$ (i couldn't find the price in gbp sorry)

and
the after

Also ikeahakcers tutorial here and here

So the above rug isn't available anymore  but instead you can buy the new IKEA Stockholm rug
for 160£ only.
And i'm thinking "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?", "ARE THEY SERIOUS?'...
So yeah i'm still angry about that rug, i'm not going to buy any rug from IKEA....
They take advantage of us and from our money...

That's why i don't like IKEA so much, yes, they have beautiful and cheap product (i'm not going to say anything about quality) but their strategy still disgusts me....

More Style, Less Money: Coffee table

Hello everybody!
First of all i have to say that this post it is not for those who have a lot of money and they don't care if they spend 1000 of pounds or euros for a coffee table. This post is for those who want to have style in their home and luxurious look without spending a fortune.
In this post i'll try to show you how to have a nice, luxurious coffee table but spending a small amount of money.
So for example if you want a nice Isamu Noguchi coffee table

You don't need to spend £1,222 – £1,677 but you can buy a replica
from metro furniture  for 198£ only!

But on the other hand if you don't like replicas and you want something original, luxurious and cheap you can buy something similar and not the same.

So let's say that you like this Carl Hansen coffee table but you don't have 1,200 - 1,700£
you could choose something similar like this IKEA Stockholm coffee table for 175£ only!

  And now more examples
Instead of these three

you can choose this one

instead of this zanotta Loto 863£- 1610£
choose IKEA Stockholm 160£
And if you like DIY projects then you'll love the next one...

or Hey Bella coffee table  168-194£

Now you an choose this stool and you can change it in every way you want

and if you want inspiration try google

Also
Zanotta Oscar Night table £1,100—£1,165
Or IKEA Nesna 7£ ( nice product for DIY projects)

or IKEA Klubbo 70£

 Modus Trim Coffee £720.00—£729.50

Zanotta Oliver coffee table £735.00—£2,200

and last Muuto Eaw side table  £169

Also you may like these two too
IKEA Selje £20 blue white

My favorite coffe table from IKEA is this one

I hope this post will help you!

Belfast Zoological Gardens

I went to the Zoo in January with my sister! To be honest i don't really like zoo, they keep animals inside "cages" for the wrong reasons, in foreign places with different climate. Anyway it was a nice long walk up to the hill, we didn't see many animals because of the cold weather...
